The Ski Museum was not open on the day we visited, but we had a chance of sizing up the ski-jumping hill from top to bottom. Being able to step up to the jumpers' starting area and walking all the way down along side the piste and up to the spectators' area gives you a hands-on sense of both the awesomeness of this sportsmen's feats and the opportunity to enjoy great views of Oslo and the Oslo fjord.

Nice view of Oslo from an unfamiliar angle. It's free to walk up it. Just don't fall off.
Ended up at this place while I was going down from the metro top Frognersetern towards Holmenkollen. It looks very nice and there are several jumping towers to have a look at. There is a small lake near by with several paths to hike. You have a great view of Oslo from there
