My Dyson is over 20 years old. Motor went. Thought that was it, but would give this local shop a try. Their service was genuinely exceptional. Totally recommended. 1) happy to look at it for no charge 2) had the expertise to adapt a motor from another model 3) installed new motor, cleaned it, put new filters in 4) working like new in a week 5) very reasonable This shop is everything that was good about traditional shops. No rip off. Pride in their work. Antithesis of throw away culture. Also very pleasurable not to have to give 250 to James Dyson! Dr David Hughes Update : It is now well over a year since my Dyson was repaired, and it is working like a new machine. Thanks again to Smith and Osman.
