Beautiful village in the far north west of Scotland, situated in Lochalsh, Wester Ross. It is a place that I just love to visit. It has a small population numbering about 340 at the last cencus. There is a hotel, pub and a few B&B's in the village plus a general store. When the tide is out you can walk across a walkway to a small island where there is seating so you can enjoy a picnic if you like. Because it gets warm water from the Gulf Stream there are Palm trees planted along the shore making it really beautiful as you walk by. You can rent a bike to explore the scenic countryside or take a trip on boat to spot some seals. A really wonderful place to spend a few relaxing days.
