My son had taken interested in playing the flute for school so we figured to have it repaired. I called Menchey and discussed options of repairs. I was told I could bring it in to have it looked at and I could have a loaner flute while it was being repaired. I visited the store and I was advised they send instruments out for repairs. I would be notified within 5 days of the cost. I asked about the loaner option snd they said they also didn’t have any in stock. I called about hour before I arrived and was told they have a few in stock. I was told they would check the next day and let me know. I called 2 days later and was told there wasn’t any available. I had to wait for the estimate. I waited and received an email about 4 days later with the repair. 374 for a complete overhaul of the flute. I had 24 hours to respond. I understand that it hadn’t been played in years, it wasn’t my expertise because I did not play an instrument but this seemed way high. I called the repair location and was advised it would take 12 weeks to complete the repair. I asked again about the loaner flute because of the time and was told once I agree to the repair, they could see what they could do. Feels like bait and switch to me. My son was starting lessons and I needed a flute. I never agreed to the flute repair and declined the service. I would look elsewhere. About 2 weeks later I called the store and asked if my flute had been returned. It had not. I called the repair store and inquired about my flute. I was told that they could send it back if I chose not to repair it. I told the worker I had already declined it and I would like the flute back. A few days later, the flute was returned to the store. There is a huge miscommunication between the store and the repair store. Their communication snd follow up is horrible.

Had them adjust the action on my acoustic guitar, dropped it off in the morning and got it back within a couple of hours, which alone is great. My guitar now sounds and plays amazing, it was super cheap and i really recommend bringing your guitar here for a tune up if nothing else. very happy with their work. thanks eddie and jim

Great small music store! Very personalized service. I bought an amp, some music and guitar strings and the people were extremely nice and very knowledgeable. I enjoyed it so much more than the larger stores like Sam Ash and Guitar Center. They have instructors waiting to give lessons as well. Will definitely support this place as much as possible.

The guy that took care of me was very helpful and knowledgeable. Told him I was looking for a beginner's acoustic guitar and he played a few so that I could hear them. He didn't try to over-sell me and there was no pressure. When it was all said and done I was very happy with my purchase and will consider them again.

I'll never go here again. The woman who worked there told me she knew nothing about guitars when I asked her questions. Not only that but you don't get a new guitar you get a display that a lot of hands touched. No original box no stock Allen wrench to adjust neck. I'll stick with guitar center where u get experienced knowledgeable staff and a new guitar in box with all accessories.
