Stunning beach I really cannot recommend enough. Beautiful views of the entire bay from the hill (which you can park your car on for free, which is great), and a lovely little village to boot. the beach itself has a great view of the rock stack, which adds a little personality, and makes for a phenomenal sunset over the water. absolutely make a detour here if you're in the area - even in the winter there are dog walkers and surfers which gives it a lovely atmosphere.

Such a lovely beach. Beautiful scenery Rockpools, caves soft sand. Dog friendly out of season. Near to Great Cafes and pubs in Portreath.
Approached either via from North cliffs road down Treagea hill or through the valley from the old mining town of Redruth. Approach from the hill and fist you'll see the harbour which used to be used to import coal. The line of the old rail line can be seen running from the square towards the top of Tregea hill. The beach consists of a mixture of soft sand ,shingle pebbles and rocks .Rock pools are great to explore at low tide with great views of the pier . Gulls rock on the skyline makes it unique and the perfect photo opportunity at sunset.
A beautiful sandy beach which is dog friendly. Gorgeous coastline with sea caves and arches. VERY picturesque
Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty the beach here is large and sandy, it cleanliness is super and I would say it's incredibly safe as it is patrolled by a wonderful group of lifeguards, it is a wonderful area for a traditional bucket and spade day out or as a starting point winter walks Throughout the day, either to eat in or as a takeaway, the Beach pub serves an appetising range of hot and cold food. Car Parking is available throughout the year, but during the summer months the beach can become particularly busy so please plan your day accordingly and arrive early to grab that space!
There is a car park here but it costs 6 for 5 hours. There are a number of cafes and pub here. You can walk along the beach and up onto the coastal path in both directions. Portreath can get busy during the tourist season.
Energizing on shore wind, churning waves smashing against Gull Rock and the harbour wall beyond. An invigorating walk across the beach towards the caves, amazing location and hot food/chocolate available in the cafes to warm you up afterwards.
Great surf if thats your thing. Couple of places to eat and public toilets!
