Fond memories of visiting here as a youth, enjoying a finger of fudge with the family. Happier times!

So, the beach is lovely. Miles of open sand, not difficulty getting to it from the rather nice promenade.which is there. There are a few cabins along the beach near the seaquarium that offer various beach goods, food and drink and are very reasonably priced. There's a impressive looking indoor activity centre, which looks good, a live venue and exhibition centre on the shore and the seaquarium. The little gardens are lovely and the ornamental bridge is great. Then you turn around... It's obvious, painfully so that all that money that was spent on the promenade did not filter through into Rhyl town. The sea front road looks like something from a post apocalyptic film. Any building with multiple levels has Thier business on the ground floor and what can only be described as a collection of broken windows and boarded up holes in the upper floors. It's a real shame that the place is in such a state of disrepair as my Mum always said it used to be lovely, which is why we went for the day. We lasted three hours, half of which was spent in the seaquarium. Shame, but it's not for me

Great place to take the family for a beach day. Beach is beautiful and clean. Plenty of shells for the kids to collect. Captured a lovely pic on my drone showing how much space families have to social distance.

Amazingly beautiful beach. Arrived as tide was going out and had wonderful fun with the kids chasing crabs, gathering shells (some live ones too) building things out of sand and stuffing our faces with Welsh sourced Ice Cream. Word of warning - parking can be....interesting. It's all pay and display so make sure you have money or the ability to pay via app. Phone signal is terrible for data so be prepared to walk around like Benjamin Franklin looking up at the sky with your phone aloft looking for a signal.

Pretty soft sand beach, access for dogs and dog free areas. Clean sand saw very little litter and plenty of bins. Lifeguards were friendly and visible. It was my first time here, great first impression.
