The restaurant is absolutely recommend for dinner or lunch or may be a bottle of wine. It is a nice place and not to be missed to experience to have a meal at the old Jewish ghetto area in Rome. The place is very casual for dining and enjoy the open air dining in the street particularly during warm weather. They have plenty of tables too inside. There are plenty of place to sit and you'll be welcome by a friendly staffs at the restaurant. Most of them are very friendly and delighted to serve. I had dinner their tonight, I've ordered fish with potatoes and pasta with artichoke and meat and a desert. The food is absolutely tasty and yummy. The restaurant mainly serve Jewish Roman food on the menu. Wines and non alcoholic drinks available on the menu too. Easy to find the restaurant in the city of Rome as it is located few meters walk from Synagogue. The food prices on the menu is not too expensive and the quality of food is quiet good.

This restaurant is known for their Jewish artichoke, and they did not disappoint. Somehow the normally tough leaves take on a great crunchy texture while the choke remains wonderfully soft, almost custard like. Both pasta dishes we had substituted beef for the ubiquitous pork in Italian dishes to great effect. I did not feel like I was missing anything!
If you're looking for something special, a nice little restaurant best go somewhere else. Though I reserved a table in advance, we were seated at a very poor table on a steep sidewalk. Half an hour after leaving my hip still feels askew. The service was formal at best, rushed at most times. My partner's plate was taken away without any comment while I was still eating... The dry white wine was served too warm. Two stars because my oven baked lamb was delicious, my partner's pasta was good but not extraordinary.
We came here expecting great things having seen some very positive reviews. The food that we received was excellent, however the overall experience left a bitter taste in the mouth. Initially we ordered a courgette carbonara and were brought a meat version. Probably an honest mistake. After some confusion with the waiters they tried to bring it back, and failing that they told us they were out of the dish. We ordered something else. After waiting 40mins for our replacement dish, we noticed the table behind us receive a courgette/zucchini carbonara, and the waiter when asked about it confirmed it was what we had ordered and suggested that the diner must've supplied some courgettes. Long story short, rather than own up to their mistake they tried to bring the wrong dish back and pretend they didn't have what we ordered. The food honestly was very good and if they don't mess up your order you will enjoy it, but I cannot give 5/5 after the indignation I have experienced.
The \Nonna Betta\ is my favorite restaurant in Rome. Here dishes are served that are unique in the world! These are original dishes from the Jews of Rome, mainly from the Middle Ages. You experience an unimagined journey through time while eating! Only the best ingredients are used and all dishes are kosher. Together with the wines you experience a unique and inimitable taste. The service of the restaurant is very friendly. The interior is nostalgically and comfortably furnished, even with a lot of old photos. Outside you sit in the breathtakingly beautiful old ghetto of Rome. If you want to enjoy \Nonna Betta\, you should definitely reserve in advance! The high quality of the restaurant has long got around and there is no free space in the evening!
