I am a non-resident alien working in tech in Austin. I encountered a visa delay issue earlier this year which prevented me from continue working. I attempted to contact Mr.Carter for help and got a quick response from his office on the very next day! I never expected such prompt response and such kindness, and really want to express my gratitude to the great congressman we have :)

Over the years I've written several times and called numerous times and never received more than a canned response that assumes the opposite of my issues. Carter only represents those who donate a lot of money, everyone else is just an annoyance to him. I'd like to tell him personally in a town hall, but he doesn't do those because he might have to interact with people who disagree with him.

My wife and I expressed concern for John Carter's position concerning Teachers, Education, and School Vouchers. We got a very blunt and dismissive reply with no attempt to explain his position. Basically, we felt he couldn't care less to hear from someone he represents unless they share his values. We are not Liberals, but we can't support a candidate who is so far right, that there is no attempt at discussion.

I'd like Mr. Carter to hold a real town hall meeting with his constituents, instead of telephone town hall where the questions were all pre-screened. You are supposed to represent your entire district. So, how about it?

John Carter's team helped us with resolution of a Green Card case and and a citizenship case that were both stuck due to wierd system issues. The staff especially Yovanna Brown is fabulous! Very responsive, quick and proactive. Great job, earned my vote Mr. Carter! Please thanks Yovanna for it!
