Wait times here was pretty long, it took about an hour for our food to arrive and we had to remind the wait staff that we did not get it yet. When the food arrived it was good however this time the pork ribs had chunks of meet overcoooked and tuff. The lamb ribs are a miss. The chips and chicken were great tho and beef ribs perfectly cooked. I think tonight was not there night because previous visits, I have had perfectly cooked ribs and fast service. ASLO whats up with the one side only per dish?

We have been to Hurricane’s at Top Ryde a number of times. However, Saturday night wasn’t great. The food was good but the service just wasn’t there. We had to wait over 40 minutes for our dinner and then the order was wrong. They said they could fix it but it would take at least another 10 minutes. We had to ask three different waiters to order drinks and each time they said they would be back and we are still waiting. We asked to order desert but then just gave up because no one want3 to provide a menu let alone take our order. Hope this was just a bad night or maybe we should start going somewhere else. Received a response to my review - they asked for my phone number so they could discuss. If you get this response don't bother, it is just a waste of time. All they wanted to know was where we were sitting and that they had my details so they would try and do better next time. Really disappointed.

Make sure you book well in advance, as this seems to be a very popular place to visit. At times it becomes very busy and wait times for your order can become lengthy. It has a family atmosphere and can become quite loud with rambunctious patrons. Seated with bigger people may create an issue for them, as they wonder if the chairs can take the weight safely and how to ask the person behind them kindly not to keep bumping their chairs into them as this restaurant offers limited space to navigate. The tables are quite close together and it becomes hard to share a conversation. I do however recommend the ribs and the MBS 7 rated wagyu steak cooked to medium rare, expensive, not well presented, limited side choices but mouth watering.

I really don't understand how they can justify charging fine dining prices for such ordinary food. The food isn't bad, it's just nothing special. So overpriced. They charge 110 for the rib platter for two, and they only let you choose one side (chips or roast potato or salad)? Seriously how stingy, to charge that much, they could've at least given you chips AND salad. And the lamb ribs were so fatty that we had to cut away half of it. Also, they gave us only 90min for our booking, so you'd think they would have our food ready reasonably quickly, but no - kids meals didn't take too long, but it took much longer for the rest of the meals to come out, and by then my kids had finished theirs. The 40 jug of pink sangria was tasteless, as it was bulked up by lots of ice. Again, if they want to charge that much, at least make it worth it. That jug of sangria was basically half water. The only positive I suppose was the service, which was pleasant. Will never go there again.

Hurricanes is a very good chain of steakhouses. Make no mistake though, in covid you'll definitely need a booking and thr E place gets busy FAST. Service is very friendly but I'd say they need more staff in the kitchen tbh. Even so, food is delicious, and we'll definitely be back!

I am a repeat customer. Great tasting signature dish - ribs. Huge servings, friendly staff, tasty food and lots of drink options. Not a cheap place to dine, but very generous serves, even the desert is generously sized. My only negative point is the 90 minute sitting period, the large servings have to be rushed if more than one course or coffee/tea afterwards. This is not an issue at lunchtimes.

Disappointed. the price of the meals with the small portion was atrocious, chicken strips tasted like a trashy fish and the chips were meh 208 dollars? the burger was nice but everything else on the menu was not great took 1 hour to be served. Steak was bad but 208 dollars is terrible value. Staff was very nice but would not recommend.

Great food and service. Always delicious and consistent. A must Go-To-Place for that BBQ Pork Ribs! If you are wondering what to have for sides, give the Garlic Mushroom a try.
