We had a meal here on a Sunday night. The location and atmosphere are fab. Very relaxed meal was had by all. We dined under the wooden frame mwith a view across the valley. The kids enjoyed their meal of chicken nuggets and chips. Slightly pricy but a great location.

Very friendly staff. The menu is limited, but represents a good mix between price and quality. Recommend dishes are the roasted duck breast and the apple pie, which are both phenomenal. Less recommended is the duck stew with Guinness sauce. While the flavor is good, the dish contains a lot of fat and cooked skin, which was not very appealing to me.

Really helpful staff, facebooked them before a Premier League football match to see if they were showing it and when we arrived they had it on! Ate here after the match and the food was delicious, amazing view across the valley. What a place to watch the football!

We were in Saint-Genies for 7 days and ate at the Black Duck twice. I wish it could have been 7 times. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. The host has a great sense of humor and stocks an excellent range of Irish Whisky. There is a sports bar that sells real Guinness on tap and the restaurant has a small but fabulous menu. A real find if you are in this area of France.

It's open from Tuesday to Saturday lunch and dinner, as simple as that. The website is up to date.
