A great reminder of how good Guatemalan cuisine can be. Being Guatemalan it was a very nice taste of hard to find cuisine in the city. The grilled beef and shrimp was ok. The pan con todo brought me back to my childhood. And so did the tamal de puerco. The garnachitas were excellent, a nice size and full of flavor. Ordered a chocolate Chapin and a arroz con leche. The hot chocolate was good but the arroz was addicting. Living in downtown SF, this place is a bit out of the way and they only offer pickup so its a commitment. Great representation of a under appreciated cuisine. Dos thumbs up
Cafe Guatemalteco continually has pleasant vibes, and all of their employees seem courteous and welcoming every time I visit. Their bagels are good. I don't drink much coffee or mochas. Yet, I find their Berry Mocha addictive :-)
Great service. First time having Guatemalan food. delicious! The atol plantain and arol arroz con leche drinks served hot were heavenly. Next time I'd like to try their fresh squeezed juices.

Great, great service. We came to visit SF and were looking for Guatemalan food, we found this restaurant and it was awesome, shukos were great, chuchitos yummy, carne asada really good and caldo de gallina on point. Super recommended. Will visit again.
Comida increíble! Guatemalan cuisine with an authentic vibe. Clean, beautiful, and spacious interior… Helps if you know Spanish to order, but they speak English as well! Get the Garnachitas (corn “nachos” topped with fixin’s), and Rellenitos for dessert (Fried Plaintain balls filled with black beans, served with sour cream).
Finally to be able to eat real fried beans and central American food, not like the typical canned beans everyone eats in the tex mex places. Great plantains, beef. Five starts
