I must say go on record to say this is the best possible way to learn the business of Audio Engineering. The instructors are Amazing and incredibly helpful The lead instructor is a Rockstar! Not metaphorically this dude is the real deal. If you are on the fence on learning how the recording studio works, if you too want to be privy to secret smoke and mirrors than this is your school. Consider this review your sign....Disclaimer there are no smoke and no mirrors just 10000 hours of practice. Thank you-

I enjoyed working with all of the instructors of this course. I gained extremely valuable hands on experience with musicians and equipment. If you want a solid foundation in recording and mixing music this is the place to go.

Seattle Recording Arts is the perfect example of a well structured school, with top notch customer service, experienced and talented instructors and out of this world facilities and studio gear. My experience started by getting in touch with them for the Avid Pro Tools certification, and Karyn was the first person that reached out to me, and I have to say that she is incredibly professional, kind and that she went the extra mile to answer all the questions that I could possibly ask. It was a great start and a very strong and positive first impression, I wish I knew about this school far long ago, but in all honesty she was the main reason why I trusted them right away. So I wasn't surprised at all once I walked into their facilities, since I knew that I would find the top of the line in terms of studio equipment and gear: they have done an outstanding job in providing the students with some of the best analogue gears you can even imagine, blending them with the best digital audio workstation. I have to spend a few words about my instructor John Metzler (who owns a great recording studio in Seattle called \Quiet Please Recordings\) he was so experienced and humble at the same time and made me very comfortable while going through all the aspects of the course of PT101. If you are thinking to learn all the nuances of the world of audio in a place that can help you understand the present, the past and the future of it, please do yourself a favour and enroll in one of their programs, or simply book a tour: you won't be disappointed.

I am a recent graduate of Seattle Recording Arts and just wanted to rave about their Audio Engineering program. What stood out the most was how much career guidance is given since day one. Aside from knowing the course material, I overall have a better understanding of an Audio Engineer’s role and what to expect from myself. The Professional Tool Kit, ProTools books, and post-graduation Benefits are great assets included in the program. I definitely recommend this program to other creatives. The best way to get the most out of this experience is to allow your passion to become your driving force. (Joe & Karyn inspired that mantra for me) I honed in on this mentality and loved every minute of my final project with my chosen band, Frequilibrium. I had amateur knowledge and understanding of many skills and techniques used in a recording studio prior to enrollment. Learning from different instructors in the small class setting was really beneficial. Everyone on the SRA staff is really humble and they genuinely want to see their students succeed and enjoy the creative process along the way. I’m happy to have made friends and found mentors with everyone on the staff. It was fun meeting musicians and assisting on projects with local artists too. The Live Sound and Guest Speaker days were awesome events leading up to the graduation. All of these experiences really put everything in great perspective for me. I moved here from Chicagoland area with the intention of receiving my certifications and figuring out my next move. What caught me off guard is how tight-knit the SRA family is and I’m proud to be associated with them. Domino, the studio pup, really brought it with the cuteness and deserves all of the love too!

Seattle Recording Arts will give you all the tools and knowledge you need to become an true audio professional. I am a recent graduate of the school's Audio Engineering program, and couldn't be happier with my experience! SRA's small class sizes gave personalized and hands on access to learning how to record at one of the best studios in Seattle. When you graduate you will leave with a Pro Tools certification, as well as multiple recording sessions under your belt, so you have the confidence and experience to get out and start working as a professional audio engineer. The amazing instructors Joe, Alex, and Karyn all have years of experience in the industry that they will share as well as teaching you important networking and professional business skills that are invaluable to being successful in the music industry. Seattle Recording Arts is the best program in the region for learning to become an audio professional, and it has been one of the most exciting, engaging, and rewarding educational experiences I've ever had! If you are looking to start a career in the audio industry SRA has everything you will need to follow your dreams and become a success!
