Very good izakaya in a very nice neigh borough. Definitely super authentic, staff doesn't speak Japanese expect from the owner who lived in the US, there is no menu in English so you'll definitely need two word in Japanese or you can just ask for \suggestion\. Must try the sashimi (super fresh), the marinated eggplant, salmon fatty belly in the oven and many more delicious things!

Excellent food and super-nice atmosphere. Loved the toasted veggies and torched mackerels. Nice bar seating where you can watch the cooks. On top of the excellent tastes, the dinner was very economically priced and the staff was extremely nice. I recommend this place highly!

Used to go here years ago, very friendly owner who lived in LA to learn guitar. Visited for the first time in 4 years, friends arrived before me. Not allowed in until all of us are here. Not so cool new rule. All here, ask for a table for three (I speak Japanese) am gruffly asked to wait outside. So much for omotenashi. Guy comes out - not the owner - very unhappy to see us, says they had trouble with foreigners, so we had to read a sheet of rules for foreigners, and agree to it before being allowed to enter. I point out I know the owner and wave, he ignores me - thanks buddy. Paraphrasing Groucho Marx I would not want to eat in a restaurant that would not want me as a customer. We didn’t read the foreigner rulebook and we didn’t enter. VERY disappointed some foreigners tarnished this place, but equally disappointed the restaurant is tarring foreigners with the same brush, and is at best discriminatory. Foreigners are not welcome here, which is the way I’m sure they are happy it’s reported. This kind of behavior warrants ‘0’ star but I must select at least ‘1’ star.

This restaurant calls itself \simply the best in town\. Well, it's not. Staff is not teally friendly and the prices are too high for the quality and quantity you get. The beef was good though.
