So frustrated. Have been trying to get into SA group therapy for over three years. Have been told multiple times that a new group is starting soon and they will call me. In December I was told there haven't been any groups in a couple years but one is starting soon, now almost two months later still no follow up. If they don't have a group they should say so, stringing me along like this is just cruel. Wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

Just gonna address Alex's comment about state employees and/vs mandatory reporters...LCS is a non-profit, NOT for profit, which means they ecycle\ their revenue, not obligatorily supported by the state, and most free community service businesses DO NOT have to mandatorily report to the state...nobody that works for THESE kinds of community services has an obligation to report... these kinds of free services are licensed by the state, just as bars, casinos, and other \free\ establishments are...it's a due-diligence expectation, not a legal one...a nursing home, hospital, or MD are mandated obviously, but it doesn't apply there..of course, we would all hope that they did take the measure of calling in a drunk mother, however these forums are open to anyone to say whatever terrible (and good) things that these places offer...they are supported by some state, federal, but mostly PRIVATE funding...they do a lot of good for our indigent mentally ill population, which is growing increasingly negligent...

Incredibly frustrated with this place. They allowed a mother who was obviously drunk and admitted to being drunk, leave with her child in her vehicle and did nothing about it. As an employee of the state they are mandatory reporters and CHOSE to do nothing. When pursued on the issue, they still did noting. This is not ok! Please be aware they may not have your child in their best interest.
