I liked living in this accommodation. The rooms are cosy and the maintenance team is very responsive. The staff is also very polite, especially Mimi, who is always very friendly.

The pictures that I have attached below are the rats found onsite in front of F block in Sheffield 3 accommodation. Not only was this reported to Sheffield 3 as soon as we saw it but it was caught and released back on site into the side bush. This was not an action expected from the staff of Sheffield 3 as the rats should have been evacuated not left out on the loose again on site. This has a high chance of the rats entering the blocks as the doors take time to close automatically. This is a highly concerning issue and it has been reported previously from September but no actions has been taken place for the past 5 months from the manager Mr Gregg Gilson and his team.

Excellent accommodation! Lovely staff on reception and who work for house-keeping/ maintenance; they've really made my stay here exceptional. The accommodation itself is a 2 minute walk from a tram stop and 5 minutes from Tescos - so it's really convenient. Better value for money than some other accommodations, as you get big rooms and lots of storage. Will be staying here for my third year in a row come September.

Amazing stay in Sheffield 3, the best manager MimiIt is in short walking to the centre. Staff are pleasant, The bed is comfortable , study hall is great for me

The communication from Sheffield 3 during the pandemic has been abysmal, for example they've closed all of the communal spaces but haven't even put signs on the doors about it let alone emailed us or anything. And when I first moved in, my room had obviously not been cleaned properly, which was a disappointing start. The staff team also don't seem to pass on maintenance issues reliably- I reported a problem with my bathroom and was assured it would be sorted out, but when I asked again after a few weeks they had no record of my reporting it. Additionally the heaters in the rooms are far too small and underpowered, they keep the space under the desk fairly warm but nowhere else, taking the temperature of my room in winter from 15 degrees without the heater to around 17 or 18 degrees after it's been on for a few hours. And this isn't just a problem with the heater in my room, my flatmates all have exactly the same issue. It's ridiculous to be spending 120 a week to sleep in our clothes and not have anywhere warm to do uni work. It feels unfair not to mention the benefits of the flat, the seating area in the kitchen is very nice and the desk in my room is a lot bigger than in most other accommodations. Also the kitchen heating is actually fit for purpose! But the cons definitely outweigh the pros. Finally, if you read the other reviews for this property don't focus on the star ratings, because (as at least one other reviewer has mentioned) the staff have been paid to write false 5 star reviews in the past. Which obviously casts all of their other interactions on here into some doubt, such as the assertion that they have ever had a case of vermin\ inside the flats- I know someone who had a mouse IN HER KITCHEN a few years ago!
