Amazing boat tour with an exceptional guide! I highly recommend this activity instead of the big companies tours.

Fantastic experience in Amsterdam (October 2019). My spouse spent a fair amount of time researching various options for a canal tour in Amsterdam and ended up picking Vaartuig. Our expectations were exceeded! - Wonderful host (Brian), had lots of very interesting facts and information to share during the whole tour - The boat (the Zavi) was both spacious enough for the guests and small enough to get us to all the nice spots along the canal network. The host didn't even need to us a PA system to talk to us. We hit light rain during the tour and the boat's canopy was perfect to protect us from the elements. There was no rain for most of the tour, so we could open the fabric canopy and stand up to have a perfect 360-degree view of the city. Lastly, the boat was sparkling and perfectly clean. Amazingly so. During our cruise, we came across other, larger canal cruise ships that are all enclosed with glass or plastic, like a fishbowl. Let me tell you that we felt like royalty on the smaller, open Zavi. The sensory experience was so much better, with no filter between us, the canal and the city. You can't go wrong with Vaartuig.
My colleagues and I had a great time on the boat with Brian. He took us through the Amsterdam Light Festival exhibitions, as well as the history of the city and its buildings. It even has a small bathroom on it! Definitely recommended for discovering a new way of experiencing Amsterdam! Many thanks! P
Brian runs a brilliant canal tour. Lovely boat with a canopy, useful bar and stocked fridge. The size of the boat allows it to go down the smaller canals that the bigger tour boats can't access. Brian personalises it well and has great knowledge of Amsterdam. Highly recommended.
Brian was friendly and gave a great tour along the canals. The boat was comfortable and spacious and the beers cold. Would recommend to anyone looking for a boat tour of the city
