Nice place. Best laska ever had which is extremely flavorful. The tea leaf salad is kinda oily but unique. The best thing is that the owner is always watching what you need. Would definitely visit again for other dishes.

The food is so good it feels like my Maymay cooked it. It taste like fresh home cooked food. I highly recommend this place for delicious Burmese food.
Our family of 4 came for my mom’s bday. The food was amazing! I had the seafood laksa which had huge flavour and a myriad of colours...awesome! Hubby had the marinated mutton curry served with coconut rice. He loved it! He said the meat was so tender...delicious! My son had the lamb curry which was also delectable and delicious! Lastly, my mom had the potato and tofu curry. She enjoyed it very much. I think this is a great place to come and share dishes if we were more hungry as we would have ordered more. Portions were good. Prices are awesome! One thing we were not happy with is the service! One young girl was running around dealing with taking orders, checking on customers, cleaning tables, Skip orders etc etc. We waited a heck of a long time before, the first order was served and eaten by the time the last person received their dinner! That’s not right! The kitchen has to time things better and they need someone else to at least clean the tables!
Amay's House. More like AMAZE HOUSE. The food here is literal pleasure napalm to my flavour buds. I would go twice a month when I lived in Vancouver. It'll be one of the first places I visit when I one-day return to the land of unaffordable housing.
For me, it was such a beautiful hidden gem and a happy discovery in the neighbourhood. Very welcoming family style diner. My very first Burmese cuisine experience in this city. It becomes my go-to places when I crave for comforting food, ever since my first visit! Food always comes in such a comforting way. - Not only the portion (with which I always either end up so full or couldn’t finish the dish at all), but also the taste, the texture, the colour, the smell, and also the visual itself! It is probably not for me to comment on authenticity, but believe me, this is the type of place where you know after the first taste, that the chef is passionate about what they are doing and always putting so much effort into what they are creating!
Really really delicious food! The laksa was amazing, high recommend. Also had the yellow bean prata, super tasty too! I was very impressed. Definitely check this place out!! I’m coming back to try more for sure.
I've never had a bad time at Amay's. I've been there 5 times, and they're reliable. If you're going to treat yourself this week, this is a good place to do it.
Tried three veggie curries. My favorite was the mushroom. Would recommend the potato tofu if you dont like mushrooms. Food was really good and really fast. Good prices are a bonus!
