I absolutely love coming here when I am able too, its quaint, beautiful, lots of nature, wide open spaces, lovely walk either by yourself or as a family . beautiful lake with lots of swans, ducks, ducklings and wildlife including a bird spotting area too, (however this has vern closed too access due to covid at current times) A peaceful clean place to clear your mind for your wellbeing in all weather. Great for people who want to jog or run too, or explore the forestry areas. Absolutely stunning in the snow and especially autumn with all the leaves changing colours . Then as you come to the peak of summer the golden sun cascades the water and the colours again or the green fields and trees bring this place to life . Great place for photography and for bird spotting too. Usually some toilets there (but again closed due to covid) and you tend to find a burger van too.

Warning ️ don't leave possessions on show in the car park. We returned back to our car after setting off to find people looking in our car. Moved the car and still walked around the reservoir. It's ok. Nicer walks to be had elsewhere.
