I really like this park. We only discovered it during lockdown but it's got a lovely bandstand, a horse statue (Palfrey), play area, tennis courts and good solid paths that aren't muddy. Parking close by too.

A pretty little park with a beautiful sculpture of a palfrey - worth a visit just to admire it.

The general profile of this park is flat, with a slight rise so it is accessible to all levels of fitness. It is used by lots of local residents all power-walking and socialising (socially distanced). It is well kept and has tennis courts, bicycle loans, The Seed Hut pavilion, bandstand and sculptures of horses (Palfreys) and stone carvings. It's a real gem. Recommended.

Good for children and evening walk. Can sit down and gossip for hours in summer sun at entrance or can grab a football and start kicking it in the football ground at the other end or maybe basketball with friends in the middle. You can get some cardio exercise while your kids enjoying the swings and slides.
