I came down the side of this station on the footpath on my bike today expecting to be able to cross the bridge with my bike using the lift. I have a bad back and knees and there is no way I could cross the bridge using the stair track for a bike. I almost fell. Would be so much better if people like myself who struggle to be able to cross the bridge using a bike are able to use the lift. Maybe some consideration on this matter
Nice little and very convenient train station.
A complete mess. Rude unhelpful unprofessional staff. No customer service ever given they are rude to customers. Never open on time. The station smells very run down the ticket office closed most of the time with the blind down and staff talking on there phones. Don't ask for help as you get told read the signs. A disgrace from staff to unclean station. The worst station on the northern line in fact the worst in the UK.
Small local rail station with decent links to Warrington, Manchester, Liverpool and beyond. Stairs and lift access is provided as well as a pedestrian bridge. Close to the local birchwood shopping centre; which is just across the road. Waiting room on the main platform has a heater and some seating but the across the bridge its a little smaller.
