This is a pretty popular place for both locals and visitors. It's also pretty historic if you want to read up on it while waiting for your meal. From my experiences, this place is best for grabbing a drink at the bar. The cocktail menu is quite unique and drinks are made skillfully. There's tons of wines and beers to choose from as well. The one time I dined here, I was underwhelmed by a lobster roll. The bun was much denser and heavier than typical, and it didn't have the freshness you'd get from most seafood places in the DC area. Overall, I'd recommend grabbing a drink and app from Martin's Tavern, but if your just looking for great food, this might not be the place for you.

My fiance and I went here for Valentine's day and it was INCREDIBLE! The food, the service, the atmosphere was amazing. I cannot recommend this place more. We will definitely be returning.

I came and ate here on vacation. The food was great! I had there homemade mac and cheese. All the flavors were there! I loved it. The restaurant itself was small and I was scared about the amount of people there. I sat inside, but there was also plenty of outdoor tables. Overall the place was nice, but not too nice.

Fresh, well prepared food. Phenomenal service. This place has definitely been added to my list of frequent favorites (I had fried oysters, shrimp & calamari, \little bit of chicken\ sandwich - highly recommended)

Truly there is a reason this gem has been here since 1933. Fun stop. The oyster stew was amazing, clam chowder excellent. Added some fried oysters and onion rings and had a few cocktails. What a fun first stop back in Georgetown!
