Hi guys, I just came home from the most amazing observing session in recent memory. Kelly & I were in Washington Maine delivering an Orion 12” GoTo Dob to the camp where we put on summer astronomy programs. The sky was absolutely amazingly clear, and once the moon set the skies were Milky Way from horizon to horizon. Here’s a partial list of what we observed between 9pm and 3am. M2, 4, 7, 8, 13, 15, 20, 21, 27, 31, 32, 51, 57, 81, 82, 87, 92, Albireo, Mizar, North American Nebula, Swan, Wild Duck, Saturn Nebula, Saturn, Jupiter, Mars and I can’t remember the rest. The telescope performed flawlessly from the moment we turned it on and gave it a 2 star alignment. EVERY TARGET was in the center of the field after slew for the entire night.
