I originally was going to use a more affordable option, completing a trademark online, but I realized how little amount of interaction and communication I would have. When I had my initial consultation with Michael, it was explained how complex trademarks can get and how it could lead to more costs to fix mistakes later on. I was also told it would be a good investment due to the nature of the Internet and protection of a name. Not having that protection can also be pricey when seeking to claim the name later on. All in all, I was unable to secure the trademark due to a rejection because of a similar name and service. I was told it would be expensive to further pursue and the probability was still low. I greatly appreciate the honesty from the beginning to the end. I was also able to have a last phone call which was helpful. Even though it did not go as planned, I learned a lot and it gives me a chance to revamp things.
